Love how CNN is visualizing the conversation in it’s Politics section.  The color blocks on the right represent different broad conversation topics and their popularity.  When you hover over a conversation block, it highlights the stories that are related to the topic.  Very cool and very useful.

Not to be a fanboy, but this simple example is why Canvas is so exciting to me. Canv.as recently added HTML5 scripting as a tool for creative mashups. In other words - scripts act as brushes.

Love this straight-forward, crowd-sourced application of technology for creative endeavors.  

Creative way to use Facebook’s photo stream from Playfish.

While Yelping, I was presented with this great example of a use of portable identity.  It simply allows you to use Facebook to populate the form field - that’s it.  Why don’t more sites do this?  Allow me to sign in to your newsletters or CRM programs using Facebook, Google, or others…  this usage should be much more prevalent than it is.
